2011 Fencing Extravaganza!

Location:
When:
September 23, 2011 - 12:00PM
September 24, 2011 - 12:00PM

Description:

This fantastic two-day event will take place Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24.

Friday:  Join us in Troy Missouri for an evening of fun in which we will see what sharp swords really do!  Qualified individuals will have a chance to cut and thrust with sharp swords on a target in a safe and fun environment.  Many fencers forget that in a real sword fight, the weapon is sharp.  This exercise will help you remember!  Following the sharps exercise there will be trivia and snacks.

Saturday:  Join us from 12:00-4:00 at the St. Peters Rec Plex for our historical weapons workshop.  Classes offered will include smallsword, sabre, rapier, Fiore, and a Beginner's introduction (for those interested in starting classical fencing).  When the workshop is over, we will proceed to Old Town Park where we will have a BBQ, bake sale, raffle drawing, and entertainment directed and choreographed by Robert McPherson (4:00pm-10:00pm).
