Welcome to Baited Blade Classical Fencing, an educational organization promoting the art and science of classical fencing in the St. Peters, Missouri community. Classical fencing encourages good sportsmanship and respect towards opponents and is an activity for people of all walks of life.

Baited Blade began with the dream of one fencer to expand the education in the art to hitherto unexplored avenues. The epithet, Baited Blade was chosen to represent the very nature of classical fencing. The term: baited, comes from the habit of taking an actual weapon and making it harmless by bending back the point. This made the weapon more suitable for practice, study and training. In this manner, we at Baited Blade strive to study the deadly, martial practice of sword-play in a safe and academic setting.

As an educational organization, Baited Blade promotes classical fencing, a school interpreted as devotion to form and technique over competitive ability. Lessons are taught in a positive and energetic environment of all ages that encourages good sportsmanship and respect towards opponents. Baited Blade offers two levels of instruction and upon completion, individuals may continue to learn and fence with us on a permanent basis.

Currently Baited Blade is operating in the City of St. Peters at the St. Peters REC-PLEX. Over the years, the club has demonstrated for various events including Six Flags, the Harvest Days Festival, the Festival of the Little Hills, and even featured as part of Tim Ezell's Travels on FOX 2 Morning News.
